Meningococcal meningitis

SHILLONG: Meghalaya is waiting for medical kits from the Centre to go for a mass vaccination, possibly in the middle of April, to combat the dreaded meningococcal meningitis in four districts of the State.

Shillong: Over 200 polling booths, mostly in the Garo hills region in Meghalaya, have been marked 'sensitive' not because they face any law and order problem but for fear of attacks by wild elephants.
