The Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JSERC) on March 15, 2024, issued the JSERC (Renewable Energy Purchase Obligation) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2024, to further amend the JSERC (Renewable Energy Purchase Obligation) Regulation, 2016. This shall come into force on April 01, 2024.

The Jharkhand government has announced the implementation of the MSME Promotion Policy 2023, marking a significant step in supporting the state’s economic growth. The Jharkhand Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy 2022, which was notified on October 7, has provided a slew of incentives to scale up the EV ecosystem in the state, eyeing the rush to buy vehicles during Dhanteras. According to the notification, if someone buys a new electric car in the state, he will get a rebate of up to Rs 1.5 lakh.

The Jharkhand Solar Policy, 2022 would promote rooftop solar panels for residences in urban areas in addition to creating a better environment for larger plants. People with an annual income of less than Rs 3 lakh may be eligible for a subsidy of up to 80% of the overall installation cost.

Jharkhand Waste Water Policy, 2017 is to ensure increase use of recycled water for other purposes apart from drinking, through the provision of appropriate technologies for water recycling and protection of environment.
