Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union of India & Others dated 21/07/2020 regarding compliance of order dated January 13, 2020 for the installation of smog towers. The smog towers, were supposed to be installed within three months and for which an agreement was to be entered into. Places were also chosen and stated on affidavit by the Central Government and the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. Even after three months, neither the agreement has been entered into nor the requisite drawings obtained.

Action taken report on behalf of North Delhi Municipal Corporation in the matter of Satish Kumar Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 21/07/2020. The matter related to encroachment of government land at village Haiderpur, Delhi and its demarcation. The encroachment was removed and the area was demarcated said the report.

Status report of Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) in compliance to the NGT order of March 16, 2020. The matter related to illegal vehicle dismantling units in Nagli Sakrawati area, spewing pollution.

A joint team of officials from Transport Department and DPCC officials inspected the six vehicle scrapping units on June 3, 2020, which were mentioned in the NGT order. Out of the six units, four units were found to be in operation and the activity of dismantling of vehicles was going on. Two units were found non-operational and the premises were vacant.

The report deals with remedial action against falling groundwater levels in the NCT of Delhi. The NGT had directed for devising suitable effective mechanisms for preventing extraction of groundwater by way of unauthorized tubewells and wherever such illegalities are found, prompt coercive measures should be taken.
