SRINAGAR, Dec 4 : Decades long illegal extraction by the people has posed a threat to Lidder rivulet. Lidder,is known not only for its crystal clear waters but for the quality trout present in it.

An experiment was conducted to study the phosphate adsorption-desorption behaviour of some paddy growing soils of Anantnag district of Kashmir. Representative soil samples (0-15 cm) were collected from thirteen locations of district under paddy.

JAMMU, Mar 10: While nearly 14,359 hectare of Forest land has been grabbed in the State in last over two decades, the districts of Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch in Jammu and Anantnag in Kashmir have topped in the list of Government land grabbing.
