GUWAHATI, July 29 – The number of people who have died of encephalitis in the State has shot up to 147. Of them, 44 died of confirmed Japanese Encephalitis (JE).
Though the Government has decided to revive the Chandrapur Thermal Power Station (CTPS) by converting the project into a coal based power station, the delay in receiving the coal linkage delayed the implementation of the project.
Jorhat, Jan. 3: The Assam State Transport Corporation has allotted 15 new buses for rural routes across the state as a New Year gift for people living in the remote areas.
The buses will start plying with immediate effect.
