According to the applicant, the unit in question is adjacent to primary school The unit is using boiler and releasing polluted air and water in open environment without any treatment.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Manveer Vs Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 05/12/2018 regarding water pollution from discharge of effluents by Insecticides India Limited, Rajasthan. Report furnished by the Central Pollution Control Board and Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) recommends four measures which includes installation of disinfection system (chlorination) after the activated carbon filtration unit to reduce the microbial contamination in the treated effluent.

Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 01/06/2017 regarding discharge of untreated effluents from industries, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. NGT directs that water quality test be also done at the point where the industries particularly the paper industries are located. The report with regard to the water in nala along these industries may also be submitted on the next date of hearing (16/06/2017).

Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 19/05/2017 regarding discharge of effluents by Leeza Leathers into river Ganga, Uttar Pradesh. NGT allows the unit to operate its processing activity subject to it getting grant of consent from Pollution Control Board and obtain permission from the Central Ground Water Authority, in the event they are extracting ground water.
