First status report of Integrated Drain Management Cell (IDMC) in Original Application No. 06/2012 in the matter of Manoj Mishra Vs Union of India & Others.

The National Green Tribunal in its order dated March 5, 2020 had directed the Delhi government to set up an "Integrated Drain Management Cell" under Chief Secretary for remediation and management of all drains of Delhi with representatives of all agencies/ departments/ urban local departments owning such drains not below the level of Chief Engineer dealing with the management of drains to the IDMC.

The issue for consideration is the remedial action against the bad odour from the STP, Kondli in Delhi, as the STP is not operated as per norms. The NGT in its order of September 27, 2019 had directed the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to take appropriate action in the light of the report of the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC).

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Pramod Kumar Jha Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 07/08/2020. A report was sought from the Delhi Jal Board and Delhi Pollution Control Committee with reference to the allegation of illegal extraction of ground water in village Jagatpur, Civil Lines Delhi near Yamuna biodiversity park for sale through tankers and further grievance was that charcoal drums were being burnt in open causing air pollution.
