The Affidavit filed by Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, MoEF and CC provides informs the Court that the Government of Odisha has been asked to initiate necessary action to evict the encroachments and MoEF & CC has asked the State to treat this as violation of Indian Forest Act, 1927 and the Orissa Forest Act, 1972.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of K.C Bhargava Vs Union of India & Others dated 12/09/2017 regarding the illegal and unauthorised construction in the 7.5 acres of land in the Central Ridge area. Laxmi Narayan Temple Trust had illegally occupied the 7.5 acres of the concerned land and constructed a road, parking lots, chabutara and other pucca construction within the Central Ridge area.
