India's 36 per cent thermal power stations are facing acute fuel problem and are operating on coal stocks of less than a week, coinciding with approaching summer.

Ranchi, April 16: The prevailing power crisis and the endless hours of blackouts will continue even after polls are finally over on April 23 in Jharkhand.

The state has assured industrialists that it would look into their power problems.

Industry department secretary N.N. Sinha has also told traders and businessmen that the department would act as a mediator between them and officials of Jharkhand State Electricity Board (JSEB).
