Restoration of Bum-Rukn-ud-Dowla a historic heritage water body of around 104 acres, opposite National Police Academy, Shivrampally, Hyderabad, is the question for consideration. On receiving a complaint that water body was being destroyed by dumping of waste and sewage and encroachment, NGT vide order, September 10, 2018 directed the Urban Development Department of Telangana and the Telangana State Pollution Control Board to look into the matter.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. Sanjay Rao & Others Vs State of Karnataka dated 10/06/2021.

The issue for consideration is the remedial action against pollution of Kithiganahalli lake situated behind Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital, within remits of Bommasandra Pura Sabha, Anekal, Karnataka. The report filed by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, February 18, 2020 acknowledged damage to the lake by discharge of untreated sewage and other waste.

Joint Committee report in the matter of Dr. Lubna Sarwath Vs State of Telangana & Others dated 09/06/2021 regarding measures taken for mitigating pollution in Hussain Sagar lake.

The Joint Committee has requested the NGT to issue directions to the concerned departments for submitting a time bound action plan to comply with the recommendations of the committee to improve the water quality of the Hussain Sagar lake.

Report submitted to the National Green Tribunal by Pallavapuram Municipality, Chennai, Tamil Nadu on the matter of sewage dumped into Putheri lake in Pallavapuram.

The report said that the pumping/lifting station has been upgraded and the provision of a generator would ensure that the lifting station would function even during the times of power failure. During the monsoon season from October 2020 till date, the overflow of the same lifting station has not happened and the under ground sewerage schemes (UGSS) is now functioning without any overflow or leakages.
