Supreme Court notes that the matter is being extremely casually by the Ministry of Defence. Court directs the Joint Secretary (Works) to hold a meeting within the month of March 2018 and one representative of Yuva Tarang who represents the civil residents of the area may also be permitted to participate in the meeting and place his point of view.

It has come to the notice of the Supreme Court that the meetings being held by the Ministry of Defence on the issue of cantonment land in Panchmarhi are not being attended by the State of Madhya Pradesh. Supreme Court directs that the he Chief Secretary of the State of Madhya Pradesh to ensure that the State is represented in these meetings.
