The matter dealt with the Delhi High Court order, August 23, 2021 (Writ Petition (C) No. 5127 of 2021) wherein the technical bid of the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project was rejected.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Aarti Gupta Vs State of Maharashtra dated 24/01/2022. Grievance in the application is regarding reluctantance of Secretary, Shri Geetanjali Co-operative Housing Society, Andheri West, Mumbai to follow the directions issued vide notice of Garden Department of K-West Ward, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) for de-concretization around the trees of Shri Geetanjali Co-operative Housing Society.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ameet V Shah Vs State of Maharashtra dated 24/01/2022. Grievance in the application is for resolving the issue by way of a well-planned and approved drainage/sewage system in the area of Puranik Villa CHS, Kasheli, Bhiwandi. It is stated that drain outlets from buildings in Kalher Gram Panchayat are discharging foul-smelling liquid into the storm water drains of the society which is very dangerous to the health of the residents.

The impacts of climate variability, climate change, and extreme events are visible globally and in India. The Global Climate Risk Index 2021 ranks India seventh, considering the extent to which India has been affected by the impacts of weather-related loss events (storms, floods, heatwaves, etc.).
