Enviroment minister Jairam Ramesh on Monday informed the Parliament that the government would take action against Haryana and Rajasthan if they do not take adequate measures to stop illegal mining in the Aravali Hills.

These rules may be called the Hazardous Wastes (Management, Handling and Transboundary Movement)Amendment Rules, 2009. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
