KOHIMA, March 23: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has in place credit planning exercises for Nagaland for the year 2009 -2010 with Rs. 210.31 Crore as the projected credit placement.

KOLKATA, March 20 : Now it's official. The performance of the Left Front government in providing guaranteed jobs for 100 days a year for the rural people during 2007-08 is abysmally poor ~ 25 days on an average against a national average of 44 days.

At a mahapanchayat held in Ronija village, farmers from about 30 villages have served one-week notice to Yamuna Expressway Authority on their seven-point demands. The farmers said if their demands were not met within a week, they would not allow the construction work on Yamuna Expressway to proceed.

Chandigarh: The Election Commission of India has issued guidelines for implementation and processing of various projects schemes, rural development programmes by the Central and the state governments. Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Sajjan Singh said all directions regarding the mode of conduct will be issued by the Commission.
