The amount — which is 22% higher than the previous year — has been allotted for the financial year 2012-13. BHOPAL: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has pumped Rs 7,881 crores during 2012-13 into the state's rural economy to boost crop production, capital formation and improving rural infrastructure, according to a release.

NABARD boosted the rural economy through financial support to banks for ensuring enhanced crop loans, investment credit and creation of rural infrastructure by the state through RIDF funding support.

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) financial assistance in Chhattisgarh has recorded new high during the financial year 2012-13. The total financial assistance for agriculture and rural development activities in Chhattisgarh touched Rs 4388 crore in the recently concluded financial year. "This showed an increase of 256 per cent over the last fiscal's Rs 1231 crore," NABARD Chief General Manager Sunil Kumar Bansal said.
