Keeping in view the possible capital investment on a massive scale in industrial sector in the next few years, the State Government have launched the work of infrastructure development of international level in Madhya Pradesh. For this, new industrial growth centres are proposed to be set up in eight districts of the state.

A 10-member study team of PAF Project from Nepal will visit Madhya Pradesh from July 6 to 12, 2010. The study team will inspect District Poverty Initiative Project works going in the state and hold discussions with self-help groups. The team will be divided into two and will visit Rajgarh and Guna and Shivpuri and Raisen districts respectively.

Seven persons, were killed in lightning-related incidents in Madhya Pradesh overnight, as owers lashed various parts of the state following the onset of monsoon.

Three persons died in Jabalpur district, while two were killed in Mandsaur, one in Shivpuri and an eight-year-old boy in Indore.

Shivpuri: Kartar Adivasi, a one-year-old, weighed just 6.342 kg when he was admitted to the nutritional rehabilitation centre (NRC) at Narwar in Madhya Pradesh.

Born to Banwari and Binia of village Kiranpura (Barkhadi), the child was kept at the NRC for 14 days and then under followup care at his house, with the result that his weight increased to 9.3 kg by the time he was 15 months old.

The State Government have allotted an amount of Rs 363.23 lakh for drinking water transportation in twelve districts.

Shivpuri: Migratory birds have started returning to their native places after spending their winter at Sagar reservoir in Madhav National Park.

Park sources said birds arrive here from extremely cold nations such as Russia, Georgia, Siberia, etc to spend winter and return on the onset of summer. These birds chiefly include Hawasil, Siberian Duck and Spoonbills.

The state government has allotted Rs 2.80 crore to six district collectors for assisting victims of natural calamity. Out of this maximum amount, Rs 1.72 crore has been allotted to Raisen district collector. The other districts are Indore, Shivpuri, Chhattarpur, Sidhi and Shajapur.
