The National Green Tribunal (NGT), September 19, 2022 directed that awareness programmes need to be organized for common people in Chhattisgarh regarding utilization of fly ash for its own use and make the process for obtaining the permission/NOC from regulatory authority easier.

The Central Electricity Authority on 7th July 2022, has notified the draft Central Electricity Authority (Flexible operation of thermal power plants) Regulations, 2022. The Draft regulation shall apply to all coal and lignite based thermal power plants and load despatch centers.
