The matter related to construction activities around the wetland area in Bengaluru, Karnataka - the city had a large number of lakes, but there is substantial extinction/disappearance due to encroachment, reclamation in the name of development.

The issue of ecological damage to the area between two lakes namely Kaikondarahalli Lake and Kasavanahalli Lake was taken by the NGT.

The issue for consideration was steps for preventing untreated sewage going to the irrigation canal in Sector 137, Noida. Sources of such discharge included non-functional/deficient STPs in 95 high rise buildings in Noida, industries as well waste water from upstream from Delhi and Ghaziabad from into the said canal which joins Yamuna and then Ganga.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Council of Engineers & Others Vs State of Punjab & Others dated 19/07/2021 regarding restitution of designated green belt in Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, Ludhiana and stopping of its unlawful conversion into residential plots and by planting saplings of indigenous trees equal to twenty time the trees felled by the Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT). The application said that 54 trees have been illegally felled.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Nuggehalli Jayasimha Vs Government of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 19/07/2021.

Grievance in the application was against non-compliance of order of the NGT, October 8, 2020 in O.A. No. 46/2018 requiring the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to issue finalized Guidelines on the subject of ‘Environmental Management of Dairy Farms and Gaushalas’.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Rajender Singh Vs State of Haryana & Others dated 15/07/2021. Grievance in this application is against the illegal dumping of garbage and waste in the Panchayat land in village Nawada Fatehpur, tehsil Manesar, district Gurugram. According to the applicant, unscientific dumping of garbage is affecting the ground water which is the source of drinking water.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Yuva Mandal Sansthan Mithdiya Vs State of Punjab & Other dated 14/07/2021.

The applicant (Yuva Mandal Sansthan Mithdiya) requested that directions be issued to Punjab and Rajasthan to curb the inflow of industrial waste and sewage water into the Sutluj and Beas river and Rajasthan Feeder Canal and take appropriate steps to check, manage and control the noxious and hazardous effluents being thrown into water resources.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Krishan Chander Vs Union of India & Others dated 14/07/2021.

The issue for consideration is remedial action against illegal mining by M/s D.S.P. Associates, Sonipat by diverting natural flow of river by digging a man-made pit (20 ft. deep and 1 km long) and making a bund to stop the natural river flow.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sarv Jan Kalyan Sewa Samiti Vs Union of India & Others dated 13/07/2021.

Question for consideration is the remedial action for established violation of Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980 in use of protected forest land for non-forest purposes by Medanta Hospital in Sector 38, Gurgaon with the permission of Haryana Shehari Vikas Parishad (HSVP), who allotted the said land in public auction, after illegal acquisition in the year 2004 - the illegality came to light in proceedings before the NGT in 2017.
