Ram Ganga river water at 10 different sites at Moradabad were collected and analysed at pre monsoon period and after the onset of monsoon following standard methods of sampling and testing. River water is found to be contaminated with reference to almost all the physico-chemical parameters studied at almost all the sites of sampling for pre-monsoon period as well as after the onset of monsoon.

Western Ghats form the catchment of all the 44 rivers that sustain the agroeconomy of Kerala. A study was conducted to assess the effect of land use on runoff from small watersheds of Western Ghats. Three small mono-culture watersheds, planted with cashew, coffee, tea and one small watershed with dense forest were selected for the study.

The present work aims at studying the fuel characteristics of 18 coal samples from different parts of India and 10 biomass samples. The analysis has been done based on different categories, such as proximate analysis, ultimate analysis, determination of calorific value and analysis of sulphur.

Energy audit is an essential part for developing energy saving devices. Presently energy is limited and substitutes are not sufficient. In the present study computerized model developed for the quick and efficient energy auditing with the help of C-language programme, it also suggest some alternate devices suitable for the case.
