For Global Spotlight Report, Climate Scorecard asked Country Managers to describe a leading policy that, if fully implemented and/or scaled up, would help countries achieve emissions levels that are 1.5 degrees compliant by 2030 (as recommended in the latest Report published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change).

The Climate Scorecard Report covers new and noteworthy climate change events in  leading greenhouse gas emitting countries during the period July-September 2019.  During this time, many countries (Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Turkey and  Spain) endured extreme weather events, mainly droughts and fires; some countries  (China, In

Climate Scorecard’s Global Spotlight Report focuses on renewable energy use in  leading greenhouse gas emitting countries. As one might suspect, every country has the  ability to reach 100% renewable energy use by mid-century if not much sooner.

For Global Spotlight Report, Climate Scorecard asked Country Managers to  provide information on how climate change is impacting the most vulnerable population  groups in the leading greenhouse gas emitting countries that cover.    Extreme weather events, such as soaring temperatures, droughts, floods, and forest fires  are the cause of much cli

Climate Scorecard’s Global Spotlight Report looks at the ways in which leading  greenhouse gas emitting countries collect climate change data. A strong climate change data collection and information system should contain data that  is timely, reliable, consistent, comprehensive, and transparent.

The current energy policies of many countries fail to demonstrate a commitment to lowering greenhouse gas emissions. However, many countries have policies that could be quite effective if strengthened. It is encouraging to see that almost all countries also contain a commitment to the use of renewable energy.

Climate Scorecard asked the Country Managers to submit posts that describe the most significant climate change event in their countries in 2018.
