Unauthorized drawal of groundwater through dug well and bore well has also been alleged.

Vs State of Maharahstra dated 16/09/2019 regarding irreparable loss and injury being caused to water bodies and dams constructed by the Government for which explosive material is alleged to have been used without permission being obtained. History of the case:

NGT noted that the inspection report filed before the Tribunal from time to time clearly showed that untreated industrial effluents were being discharged in a water body causing damage to the eco system and health of the inhabitants.
