The Pachwadun Sanyukt Samiti filed a petition, complaining about illegal establishment of waste processing unit by Nagar Nigam Dehradun at Shishambada Selakui which is polluting river Aasan, contaminating ground water and causing air pollution in the area. This is posing serious health hazards to the residents of the locality and severely damaging the environment.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT), October 19, 2022 said that whether Taradi-Dhabra Shashikhal Motar Marg above the Naula of village Malla Dhadhariya requires environmental clearance (EC) in view of EIA Notification 2006 needs to be looked into by the authorities.

The Uttarakhand High Court rejected the appeal filed by Ashish Kumar Garg against the cutting of trees for the purpose of widening the road from Jogiwala/ Ladpur/ Sahastradhara Crossing/ Krishali Square/ Pacific Golf Estate in Dehradun.
