Uttarakhand Environment Protection & Pollution Control Board & Others dated 14/07/2016 regarding pollution caused by M/s Hotel Vivek Regent. Joint inspection report submitted before the Tribunal shows that there is only one septic tank and the capacity of the tank is not sufficient enough to handle the sewage generated by the hotel. Tribunal directs the Committee consisting of Director Mines, State of Uttarakhand, Member Secretary, Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board and District Magistrate, Haridwar to hear the Applicant (Sandeep Kumar) and asked the committee will determine the environmental compensation payable for illegal mining as well as on account of environmental degradation.
