Deep tubewells in Kandi districts will be installed soon to optimally use the groundwater and overcome the problem of potable water scarcity in the areas.

This was stated by Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Taj Mohi-ud-Din in reply to clubbed questions by MLAs Mir Saifullah, Sajjad Kitchloo and Radhey Ram Sharma during Question Hour in the Assembly today.

BHUBANESWAR: The State Government has decided to spend Rs 271 crore on rural water supply scheme to avert crisis during summer which will be dry and harsh, according to forecast.
