The much-touted Affordable Housing Policy-2013, launched by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on August 6, is set to make housing out of aam aadmi’s reach across the state, especially in major cities.
Ushering in a policy of affordable housing in Gurgaon and other prime areas of the state, the Haryana government plans to build 1.25 lakh flats under the first phase.

With the Cabinet giving its nod to a policy for mass availability of dwelling units at rates that are easier on the common man’s pocket, a 500 sq ft flat will now cost Rs 20 lakh in the high potential towns of the state.
