This is an application moved by the Central Coalfields Ltd. in which it is prayed that the applicant may be permitted to continue the mining operations in the broken up area. It is further prayed that the Ministry of Environment and Forests should consider and grant the application for grant of extension of 43.30 ha.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ram Lakhan Singh Vs State of Jharkhand dated 06/08/2018 regarding large scale encroachments of forest land in the various districts of State of Jharkhand and violation of the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980 in raising various constructions in the reserve forest. The essential prayer made in the application is for a direction upon the State respondents to conduct geo-referencing the entire cadastral sheets of notified forests, namely, reserved forest, protected forest, etc.
