Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Satyanarayan Banchhor & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated 01/06/2016 regarding the validity of Environmental clearance granted by the Ministry of Environment and Forests to the State of Odisha for construction of Lower Suktel Project at Bolangir, Odisha.

NGT dismisses the Application. The Judgement noted that the EC granted to the project proponent in 1998 is valid and no fresh EC or revalidation of the EC is required.
