One more case of Influenza A positive, commonly known as swine flu virus, was detected on Monday raising the number of affected persons to 22 in the country, according to the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research and the National Influenza Centre.

The number of H1N1 flu cases in the country is nearing the 200 mark with 10 more persons, including six minors, testing positive for the H1N1 virus, taking the total number of those affected by the disease to 193. Of the fresh cases, three each were reported from Delhi and Pune, two from Bengaluru, and one each from Kozhikode and Mumbai

AHMEDABAD : Two more suspected cases of swine flu tested positive for H1N1 in Ahmedabad taking the total number of positive cases in city to four.

US-BASED vaccine maker Novavax, that is developing a vaccine for Swine Flu, will conduct a major portion of the clinical trials in India. The trials will be conducted from September in joint collaboration with Ahmedabadbased drug major Cadila Pharmaceuticals.

The chain of transmission, aided by global air travel, has taken the virus from Mexico, where it was first noticed among humans in late March, to countries around the globe.
