The ministry of special initiatives is using expensive and difficult-to-maintain technology in setting up of water filtration plants in the country despite concerns shown by the officials from the ministry of science and technology, sources told Dawn.

The World Bank (WB) and Government of South Korea will be providing funds for supplying 100 million gallons water (MGW) per day to capital from Ghazi Brotha Dam. After approval of the project from Planning Commission, work will start soon. This was stated by Tariq Mehmood, chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) while inaugurating Tanker Service for Model Villages here on Thursday.
