Alleging that Maheshwar Private Power Project is being carried out without rehabilitating the oustees, Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) on Thursday demanded that the work on Maheshwar Private Power Project should be stopped immediately.

Ahmedabad: In a unique green project, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has proposed for small hydro power project to tap the energy of running water of Narmada canal to generate electricity.
The project will be located between Kotarpur and Sabarmati escape near Chiloda where Narmada canal releases 150 million gallons per day to Sabarmati river for the city.
