DPCC stated that EC received was Rs. 52 crores, out of which Rs. 12. 4 crores have already been spent and Rs. 39.6 crores was the balance available.

Status report by Meerut Nagar Nigam in Original Application No. 77 of 2019. The issue for consideration was the remedial action against unscientific dumping of solid waste in village Ganwri on the bank of river Kaali, creating health hazard. It was also alleged that 22 deaths had taken place and 200 people have been taken ill.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Om Singh Chundawat Vs State of Rajasthan & Others dated 26/08/2020. By filing the present application the applicant had raised the issue of encroachment of Khasra No. 41/2 which is said to be a road and the villagers were using it for travelling and the mining department illegally encroached both sides of the said road for mining and marked the area as mining area.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shailesh Singh Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 18/08/2020 regarding illegal operation of slaughter houses in Khurja in Bulandshahr District, Uttar Pradesh, discharging effluents into the groundwater, drains, rivers and extracting groundwater without any lawful authority. They are also alleged to be violating the siting norms. Further case of the applicant was that a State Level Committee was constituted in terms of orders of the Supreme Court dated August 23, in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 309 of 2003, Laxmi Narain Modi v.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mahanoy River Safety Society Vs State of Bihar & Others dated 31/07/2020. The case pertains to questions relating to allegation of constructions on the banks of river Mahanoy, district Munger, Bihar in violation of the distance criteria and its deleterious effect on the river and the environment. It was also stated that the construction work had converted the river Mahanoy virtually into a cesspool due to discharge of untreated water.

The order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Arvind Baniyal Vs State of Uttarakhand dated 28/07/2020. The issue for consideration was the remedial action against waste disposal dump yards illegally set up on the bank of river Khoh at village Ratanpur, Kashirampur, Gadighat and near Sports Stadium, Kotdwar in Uttarakhand where garbage was being burnt and river water was polluted.
