The United Nations is considering a proposal to implement the Mahatma Gandhi Tanta Mukti Gaon Mohim (Dispute-free Village Scheme) of the state government in other developing nations of the world, State Home Minister R R Patil said on Monday.

JORHAT, Aug 31: Almost 70 per cent of the development work undertaken by Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi for the development of the rural areas is lying incomplete.

NREGS is a massive rights-based social protection programme of the country. It evolved tremendously over the past five years, demonstrating the relevance in as well impact on the rural landscape.
