The appellants have challenged the order dated 06.11.2015 vide which Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board has refused renewal of Mining Leases of Limestone Mineral situated at Tehsil Jamuwa Ramgarh District Jaipur. The mine lease area is within 1 km of the boundary of Jamwa Ramgarh Sanctuary.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 06/09/2018 regarding declaration of Eco Sensitive Zones around the National Parks / Sanctuaries.

It has been brought to the Apex Court's notice that one general order cannot be passed in respect of every National Park / Sanctuary. It will depend on each State and also on each National Park / Sanctuary. In other words, the Eco Sensitive Zones have to be site specific.
