KARACHI, Jan 26: Sindh Environment and Alternative Energy Minister Sheikh Mohammad Afzal said on Tuesday that the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (Sepa) had not been able to complete the project pertaining to ambient air quality and vehicular engine maintenance in three cities of the province according to the approved plans because of hindrances in the provision of funds.

Formation of a high-powered committee to ensure safe and efficient disposal of hospital waste was ordered Wednesday by a division bench of the Sindh High Court comprising Justice Mushir Alam and Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi.

The Sindh High Court on Wednesday ordered formation of a high-powered committee to formulate means and measures to ensure regular supply of clean water to the public.

HYDERABAD: Sindh Minister for Wildlife Dr Daya Ram Essrani has said that the Sindh government has launched a Rs300 million wildlife national protection project for the Kirthar National Park in district Jamshoro.

Speaking at a news conference at the local circuit house after attending an open katchehry here on Wednesday, he said that the project would be completed within three years.
