In an attempt to decongest the crowded townships of Mandi and Dharamsala, the Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) has decided to set up their satellite townships. These townships will have all modern civic amenities.

AIMED at improving the economic condition of small vegetable vendors and to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to consumers, the Municipal Council, in collaboration with ACME Cold Chain, has distributed temperature-controlled carts among some vendors in the town. These carts have initially been given on a one-month trial basis.

Not caring two hoots about the High Court

Solan, September 02 A two-member team of the Central Bureau of Investigations on Tuesday, arrived in Rihun village, Solan sub-division, to probe the case where 18 people from Haryana, including Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge Nirmal Yadav, had purchased land allegedly in violation of the Himachal Pradesh Land Reforms and Tenancy Act-1972. The team also visited the office of Tehsildar and inquired about the facts relating to the controversial land deal.
