Water is key to the success of all the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, and therefore essential for delivering on the 2030 Agenda that aims to transform our world into the future we want. To achieve this, a new way of managing water is needed, to make societies more resilient, sustainable and inclusive.

As countries integrate the SDGs into their domestic development priorities and plans, the value which South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSC/TrC) initiatives can potentially add to efforts intended to end poverty, achieve gender equality, and support sustained and inclusive economic growth seems to be widely underestimated.

The goals and targets of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development will guide development policy action over the coming years, in the pursuit of a revitalised Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.
