It has been almost ten years since the garbage treatment plant at Vilappilsala became operational, which proved a boon to the residents of the capital city.

The City Corporation has sought the intervention of the State Government to solve the crisis which has developed after the Vilappil panchayat decided to shut down the Vilappilsala waste treatment plant on Tuesday.
