Laws to curb poultry waste dumping in public
The district is set to pilot the State government's comprehensive waste disposal project. Minister for Industries P.K. Kunhalikutty said here on Friday that Malappuram district was chosen to pilot the project considering its problems in waste disposal.

The Corporation is planning to rope in a national agency for completing the leg work for floating the expression of interest. Bids from at least three nationally recognised agencies, which have expertise in the solid waste management sector, will be invited. The selected agency will be responsible for the floating of the Expression of Interest and completing the basic paper work related to the project, said T.K. Ashraf, chairman of the Health Standing Committee of the Corporation.
