Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mahakar Singh Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 06/01/2022. Issue for consideration is the remedial action against illegal cutting of trees, extraction of groundwater and construction without Environmental Clearance (EC) for the project of Wave City at Ghaziabad and High-Tech City at NOIDA by the project proponent (PP) M/s Uppal Chadha Hi Tech Developers Pvt. Ltd.

The matter was considered by the NGT in the last two years and the court had passed orders with respect to it.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vineet Nagar Vs Central Ground Water Authority & Others dated 21/12/2021.

Prayer in the application is for remedial action against illegal operation of industrial units in the states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, manufacturing formaldehyde and its different resins (including melamine formaldehyde, urea formaldehyde and phenol formaldehyde) without requisite EC as per EIA Notification, September 14, 2006.

The matter deals with the issue of accountability for violation of Environmental Clearance (EC) conditions by the Project Proponents (PPs) – M/s. Hindalco Industries Limited (Hindalco) and Raipur Energen Limited – REL, after change of name of M/s. GMR Chhattisgarh Energy Limited) in the working of the open cast mining of Talabira-I Opencast Coal mine of Khinda Village, Rengali Tehsil, Jharsuguda Region, Sambalpur District, Orissa.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench), Kolkata in the matter of Anand Kumr Jha Vs Union of India & Others dated 07/12/2021.

The matter related to grant of Environmental Clearance, April 28, 2020 given to to Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), for Tubed Coalmine Project of 6 MTPA in the District of Latihar, Jharkhand. The contention of the appellant is that the said mining block is located in an area of 460 ha.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) failed to adhere to various environmental requirements, as per a report by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India.

Rejoinder filed by Dr. Anupkrishnan V to common counter affidavit of respondent 4 and 5 ( M/s Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. and M/s Prestige Estates Projects Ltd, Chennai). The matter related to the alleged violation of environmental clearance (EC) in the construction of Prestige Bella Vista.  

Joint Committee report in compliance of the National Green Tribunal order in the matter of Jila Bachao Sangharsh Morcha Vs Union of India & Others.

The matter related to M/s Singhal Enterprises, Taraimal, Raigarh and its ownership of the land including diversion of land. The unit claimed the land of about 137 hectares has been owned by the company since 2000. However, the Joint Committee report said that 51.470 hectares of land (38%) is owned by the company and the rest 68% land is owned by other people.
