Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Jagdish Singh Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 28/05/2019 regarding release of hazardous gases from the STPs near Mayur Vihar Phase – III, Delhi. Report received from the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) acknowledged deficiencies in the operation of STPs and recommended some measures which include components of STPs be kept in operational condition so that chances of anaerobic process are minimal, effective odour control mechanism and plantation towards the residential areas.

A report submitted by the committee to the NGT on April 30 said RO plants were being installed indiscriminately without considering quality or source of raw water.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Aali Vihar Vikas Manch E, F, G, H Block (Regd.) Vs State of (Govt. of NCT of) Delhi & Others dated 27/05/2019 regarding pollution by jeans and dying units at Bhim Colony, Aali Vihar and Sarita Vihar, New Delhi. The Joint Committee of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and the SDM, South East, confirmed that pollution was being caused. It is claimed that steps were being taken for closing the units and recovery of compensation.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. Arun Kumar Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 24/05/2019 regarding violation of norms by plastic industries making shoe soles and other plastic goods in Narela and Bawana in Delhi. Report submitted by a committee found open dumping of waste and open burning of plastic waste, drains fully chocked by waste in absence of collection of waste generated by industries and untreated waste water from industries being directly discharged into the drains in Narela as well as Bawana industrial areas.
