Factual and action taken report filed by the district collector, Krishnagiri district, Tamil Nadu in the matter of M. Sivakumar Vs State of Tamil Nadu.

The petitioner, M. Sivakumar had filed the petition before the National Green Tribunal (NGT) alleging that illegal farming of African catfish also known as 'African magur' was taking place in Krishnagiri district. This activity was banned under the Biological Diversity Act, 2002. The said farming involved feeding of chicken wastes, egg wastes to African catfish causing foul smell and water pollution.

Joint committee inspection report as per the National Green Tribunal order of December 3, 2019 in O.A. No. 1029 of 2019 submitted on February 2020. The matter relates to coastal pollution on account of dumping of waste and discharge of sewage and effluents in Tamil Nadu. A joint committee comprising of members of Central Pollution Control Board, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) and Greater Chennai Corporation inspected the shoreline of Pattinampakkam near the confluence point of river Adyar on February 3, 2020.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of R. Radhakrishnan Vs The District Collector, Ariyalur District dated 26/08/2019 regarding limestone mining. The Tribunal expressed its disappointment with the report forwarded by the District Collector and pointed out the inadequacies for instance, it was not mentioned as to whether any air pollution controlling mechanism has been installed and whether the conditions of EC/Consent to Operate/Consent to Establish and mining lease have been complied with.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shri L. G. Sahadevan, Chennai Vs Union of India & Others dated 19/08/2019 regarding use of alternative fuel in the state of Tamil Nadu. Action plan submitted through the Joint Transport Commissioner (Road and Safety), Tamil Nadu states that "under the present condition the pollution level is under control when compared to other States and enough LPG is available throughout the State and CNG is not available and a Committee has been constituted to study about the same and they are making the study."
