The applicant, Ram Milan Sahani complained that on an average 500 tonnes of garbage is being dumped on embankment of river Rapti at "nausad Akla Baudha/Kalani" which is reaching main river flow causing serious pollution to river and also creating health hazards to residents of Gorakhpur.

A combined report filed on behalf of the Municipal Corporation and the District Magistrate, Gorakhpur filed on January 28, 2024 was found to be extremely dissatisfactory.

The matter related to encroachments in the area of pond covering a total area of 11.1350 hectares situated at Kasba Farid Nagar, tehsil Modi Nagar, Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh. Encroachments have been caused by raising constructions of houses, animal sheds and other structures for residential and commercial purposes.

Order of the Allahabad High Court in the matter of Suo Motu in Re: Rodents menace is SRN hospital dated 17/01/2024.

The case was filed suo motu on the basis of a news item published in Amar Ujala, which highlighted the menace of rodents in Swaroop Rani Nehru hospital, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh and the extent to which they are causing harm to the medicines and other articles stored in the hospital.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mahesh Kumar Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 16/01/2024.

The issue involved in Original Application is in respect of unauthorized constructions over the flood plain zone of Yamuna and Hindon river in village Lakhnawali, Greater Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar Uttar Pradesh.

The NGT, July 27, 2023 had directed the District Magistrate, Greater Noida/Gautam Budha Nagar to ensure identification and demarcation of flood plain zone of river Yamuna and Hindon and submit a report within two months.

In the application, the allegation was in respect of illegal mining of earth from the nearby agricultural field by brick kilns in an area in Muzaffarnagar district. Pits were dug by upto 15-20 feet and later they were abandoned. During the rainy season, water got filled in those ditches and five children drowned and died.
