Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Tribunal on its own Motion regarding Sunderbans Forests Vs Union of India and Ors dated 04/03/2015 regarding construction of houses on the mudflats of the river Matla under the Gitanjali Scheme of Housing. The Applicant has alleged that its causing illegal encroachment on the mangrove area of Sunderban forest and also causing violation of the CRZ regulations in Sunderban Biosphere Reserve.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Subhas Dutta Vs State of West Bengal & Ors. dated 22/07/2014 regarding environmental pollution caused due to discharge of chemical waste, waste water and air pollutants by some of the industrial units in West Bengal. The Applicant has stated that because of the continued emission of air pollutants to the
atmosphere and discharge of waste water to the canal called Noai canal, the health condition of the people residing in the area are adversely affected.
