This brief reports the findings of a study that examined the relationship between air-pollution exposure, socio-economic status, and working and living conditions in Bangkok. It provides an overview of the study and highlights six recommendations to address related issues.

Grievance in the application is against failure of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in complying with its environmental obligations in the course of construction of 8-lane highway No. 44 from Mukarba chowk to Singhu border, Delhi. It is stated that near village Khampur lot of dust is generated in absence of sprinkling of water. It is further stated that 161 trees have been cut in January 2021.

Measures are being taken to control the air pollution due to the loading and unloading of coal by vehicles plying on the Hal road of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) Khadia project at Shakti Nagar, Sonbhadra. Industries burning copper scrap in RICCO industrial area The National Green Tribunal (NGT) directed a report to be filed on industries in the industrial area operated by Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), district Churu, Rajasthan for illegally burning copper scrap during night time. An application was filed by residents of village Bidasar that the improper disposal of copper scrap was releasing poisonous gases, causing serious health hazards and damaging environment.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Amit Kumar Mittal Vs State of Punjab dated 20/02/2023.

The grievance was that there was illegal dumping of fly ash in open space and near pond by M/s Sukhbir Agro Energy Limited, village Sedha Singh Wala, tehsil Jaitu, district Faridkot, Punjab who is making electricity by burning stubble in violation of environmental norms and causing air and water pollution resulting in nuisance to people at large as well as causing damage to the environment and drinking water of the canal.

This report provides an overview of air quality indexes used in 37 Member States of the WHO European Region and some observations/suggestions for future developments to improve risk communication on air pollution. In the Region, air quality information is widely available to the public, both online and through official mobile apps.
