India Post To Lace Rural Officers With Fingerprint Scanners, Magnetic Strip Readers

INDIA Post will provide gadgets such as biometric fingerprint scanners, magnetic strip readers and thermal printers to its 1,30,000 rural offices to smoothen the process of verification and payment under the national rural employment guarantee scheme.

JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has accepted in principle the demand for enhancement of the wages of workers under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme as per the recently revised minimum wage rates in the State.

The state government has started pushing the Centre to increase minimum wages for labourers working under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA).

The Rajasthan government has been pursuing the issue of increasing wages of MNREGA labourers to the existing minimum wage rate of labour in organised sector in the state.
