Companies Sitting On 1 Million Tonne Carbon Credits As Prices Plunge By 45%

Mumbai: Optimism seems to have returned to the carbon credits market, with spot prices of certified emission reductions (CERs) or carbon credits testing the euro 13-levels. The December 2009 contracts for CERs on the European Climate Exchange are trading at around euro 12-12.5 over last month.
