Present proceedings were initiated on the allegation that illegal dumping of muck was taking place during construction and no remedial action was being taken. A report submitted by a four member joint Committee stressed on remedial action for maintaining environmental norms.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Dilip Buildcon Ltd. Vs State of Maharahstra dated 16/09/2019 regarding irreparable loss and injury being caused to water bodies and dams constructed by the Government for which explosive material is alleged to have been used without permission being obtained. The use of gelatine is stated to be a fundamental issue of security. The applicant has requested for cases to be lodged against the offenders under Section 420 of I.P.C.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vatti Vasanth Kumar Vs Union of India & Others dated 06/09/2019. An application was filed before the NGT alleging that Pattisema Lift Irrigation Scheme and Purushothampatnam Lift Irrigation Scheme was completed without getting Environmental Clearance (EC).

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Uttam Singh Bhandari Vs State of Uttarakhand & Others dated 06/09/2019 regarding leakage from the power plant channel of Srinagar Hydroelectric Project and to ensure safety of the lives of the residents of Villages Mangsu, Surasu, Naur Thaapli in Tehri Garhwal District Uttarakhand.

The Godavari-Krishana-Penna river linking project does not have be requisite clearance from the Central Water Commission (CWC) and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC). This application was taken up before the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on August 13, 2019.
