Pune The Groundwater Surveys and Development Agency (GSDA) has some good news for the city reeling under water shortage. It has identified a total of 399 dugwells and 4,820 borewells in Pune, which can be useful in this current situation.

Mumbai: While the monsoon has arrived, Nashik district has been left completely dry. With only a few drizzles last week, a shadow of a drought-like situation looms over the city. The district administration has already started gearing up for the water shortage.

June 30: The PMO has finally decided to intervene in the issue of acute water crisis in the national capital and has called a meeting of the senior officials of the Central Ground Water Board, Central Water Commission and the Delhi Jal Board over the issue. The arrival of a weak monsoon in Jharkhand today is bringing with it additional problems for parched districts of Palamau where at least 135 cattle have apparently died due to a scarcity of drinking water.

Pune With monsoon remaining elusive, as many as 75 villages and over 300 hamlets are facing severe drinking water shortage. The total number of affected population stands at 1.40 lakh.
