AHMEDABAD: In what could be said to pump adrenaline into BRTS project, the Centre has approved a rolling stock stimulus fund of Rs 282 crore for BRTS, new green CNG AMTS and feeder buses for BRTS network for Ahmedabad. These buses would not include the first 50 BRTS buses that have been ordered for 12.5 km stretch between RTO and Pirana.

Jamshedpur, Feb. 22: It will be some time before Jamshedpur gets funds under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).

The Union urban development ministry has sought time to seek legal opinion before signing the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the implementation of JNNURM schemes in Jamshedpur.

Jamshedpur, Feb 20: The Union urban development ministry has decided to keep the area under Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) out of the purview of funds to be allotted under the Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).

Ranchi, Feb. 19: Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Dhanbad will be getting 300 buses under a Central urban development scheme in what will be the first step towards setting up a public transportation network in the three key cities of Jharkhand.

The civic body has taken up a Rs 255-crore scheme to lay pipes and set up three booster pumping stations to supply water from the proposed Dhapa treatment plant to Bypass households.

The proposal has been sent to the Centre for approval under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission.

Mumbai: With an objective to boost the public transport in the city, the central sanctioning and monitoring committee on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 276 crore for buying 900 buses.
