Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 27/04/2016 regarding pollution caused by the chemical industry M/s Bee Chems, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. M/s Bee Chems challenged the order dated 19-01-2016 passed for closure of the industry. Show Cause notice was issued before the closure order was passed and the appellant responded to this show cause notice with a plea that it is not a polluting unit.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Gujarat Tanners, Jajmau, Kanpur Vs. Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board dated 01/02/2016 regarding pollution caused by Gujarat Tanners, Jajmau, Kanpur.

The joint inspection report has clearly shown that the Applicant industry is a polluting industry as its chromium was found to be 9.47 as opposed to the prescribed value of 2.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Krishan Kant Singh & Others Vs. M/s. Hindustan Cocacola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Mehdiganj, Rajatalab, Varanasi dated 20/01/2015 regarding Ganga pollution caused by industries.

The Court observed that "It is unquestionable that 700 tannery industries in Kanpur which are located on the banks of river Ganga are one of the highest source of pollution river Ganga that to by serious pollutants which are injurious to human health, bio-diversity and ecology of the river."
